I love all of your work, but this one is just wonderful.
The light on the curtains (whatever they are made from) falls wonderfully and puts all the emphasis on your eye, which is right in the center of the composition. Also, the angle at which the curtains divide leads the eye downwards, a nice counter-effect to the strong light in the upper right hand corner to which the eye would normally be drawn. The out-of-focus background, too, emphasizes and clarifies your own face - the only region of the picture without a uniform surface, except for the playful fringes of the curtain around your hair and your eyes (it would make a huge difference if you hadn't kept your body out of the gap - the image would lack depth).
My whole world is changing I don't know where to turn I can't leave you waiting But I can't stay and watch the city burn Mmm, watch it burn 'Cause I try But it's so hard to believe I try But I can’t see what you see I try
